Collection and processing of your personal data

When you visit our website, the following data is processed:

1. Server log files

The website provider automatically uses server log files to collect information sent to us automatically by your browser. The following data is collected:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the computer accessing the site
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

This data is processed so we can analyse errors in our server and attempts at misuse. This data is not linked to other data sources. The basis for data processing is our legitimate interest in accordance with GDPR Article 6(1)(f). The data is not stored.

2. Other personal data

Other personal data is only stored if you provide this data yourself, e.g. when you make contact by e-mail or for completion of a contract. In these cases too, this is only permitted on the basis of your consent or in accordance with the applicable legal provisions (for further information see the section on “Legal basis for processing”).

3. Social plug-ins

“Social plug-ins” from social networks like LinkedIn and twitter are integrated in our website as follows:

The social plug-ins are disabled when you visit our website, so no data of any kind is transferred to the operators of these networks. If you want to use one of the networks, click on the relevant social plug-in to set up a direct connection with the server of the network in question.

If you are logged in to a network when the social plug-in is activated, the network can allocate your visit to our website to your user account. If you want to avoid this, please log out of the network before the social plug-in is activated.

Activating a social plug-in makes content available, and the network transfers this directly to the browser you used to connect to our website. In this situation, data transfers may be initiated and controlled by the relevant social network. When you connect to a social network, the data protection regulations of the relevant network apply exclusively for the data transfers occurring between the network and your system and for your interactions on this platform.

Legal basis for processing

  1. Provided you have given us your consent to process your personal data, this is the legal basis for processing (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)).
  2. The legal basis for processing personal data for the purposes of initiating or completing a contract with you is GDPR Article 6(1)(b).
  3. If it is necessary to process your personal data to fulfil our legal obligations (e.g. to retain data), we are authorised to do so on the basis of GDPR Article 6(1)(c).

Erasure of your personal data

We erase your personal data as soon as the purpose for which we collected and processed the data no longer applies. It is only stored beyond this point if this is required in accordance with the laws, ordinances or other regulations of the European Union or a member state of the European Union that apply to us.

Data subject rights

  1. As a person whose data is processed, you have the right of access (GDPR Article 15), right to rectification (GDPR Article 16), right to erasure (GDPR Article 17), right to restriction of processing (GDPR Article 18), right to data portability (GDPR Article 20), and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (GDPR Article 77).
  2. If you have given your consent for me to process your personal data, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. This does not affect the legality of processing your personal data before withdrawal of consent. Likewise, it does not affect the legality of processing your personal data on another legal basis, for example to fulfil legal obligations (see “Legal basis for processing”).
